The skin’s Stem Cells are located in the deepest
layer of the epidermis. It is here where each of the stem cells
promotes the production of hundreds of cells that provide a great
renewal and regeneration power of the epidermis.
Some adverse effects such as environmental stress and age cause
a gradual decrease in the number of stem cells, consequently reducing
the capacity of skin renewal.
The loss of stem cells in the epidermis, also affects the dermis,
resulting in loss of strength and elasticity and as time passes,
the appearance of wrinkles becomes more profound.
